Investigation Underway After 18-Year-Old Gunned Down In Southwest Philadelphia: Police

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for a killer after an 18-year-old man was gunned down in Southwest Philadelphia. Officers rushed to the 8500 block of Harley Place around 4:45 a.m. Sunday.

According to officials, officers were responded to the scene after reports of gunshots. After arriving, they reportedly heard approximately eight gunshots followed by screaming coming from a densely wooded area.

The 18-year-old was found suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
