PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - What three words on a pet food label tell you if it's good for your pet?

A Washington pet store owner decided to show people that pet food can be as healthy as people food so she's going on an all pet food diet for thirty days. Ewwww!

I'm pretty sure that no matter how healthy the dog food is, if they want dogs to like it, they need it to be flavored like other dogs' behinds. At least that would be my dog's favorite flavor, so you cross me off of the taste testing list.

Also, I don't need to eat pet food to know if it's healthy, the label tells me.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, always look for the words "complete and balanced" on the cat or dog food label because, by law, those words can only appear on food that meets standards established by the Association of American Feed Control officials. The standards are based on two separate stages of the pet's life, one for growth and reproduction and one for adult maintenance, so choose the product based on your pet's stage of life.

That'll save you from having to do a taste test.
