In Center City, Comcast Kicks Up Interest in World Cup Soccer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Outside the Comcast Center today, the cable titan held a warmup for World Cup soccer as it prepares to televise and stream the monthlong tournament.
The games begin tomorrow in Brazil, and tens of millions of fans worldwide will be glued to their TVs and computers.
Philadelphia's bustling soccer community includes a growing number of World Cup fans.
"Oh, it's absolutely a great time for excitement," said one man. "See the best players in the world! It's one of those times when the whole world is watching."
"It's all about diversity, and this is the one time where every country gets together for one purpose, and that's to play soccer and enjoy the spirit of the sport," said another.
"I'm gonna root for South Korea," said a man with an Asian accent. " Go, South Korea!"
One boy said he'd be rooting for Brazil. Why?
"They're very good, and I like their jersey."
