Police: Naked Man Leads Officers On Chase, Crashes On I-95 In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A naked man was arrested after leading police on a chase from Delaware to Philadelphia on Wednesday night.

It happened around 8 p.m. between Island and Wanamaker Avenues.

Police say a pursuit started on I-95 northbound, near Delaware, and ended in the southbound lane of I-95, near Philadelphia.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, a naked driver would not stop and later crashed after police deployed spikes on the road.

It's unclear why police were chasing the man.

He was arrested and taken to an area hospital for evaluation,

The crash scene has since reopened to drivers on I-95.

This is the second police chase that started in Delaware and ended on I-95 in Philadelphia today. In the first crash, three officers were left injured after trying to apprehend a suspect wanted for numerous offenses.
