Hundreds Without Power, Flooding Reported As Storm Moves Through Region

By Tim Jimenez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Hundreds are without power and flooding has been reported after severe weather rolled through our area Tuesday night.

PECO is reporting close to 600 customers are in the dark at this hour in the five counties. Montgomery County has about 400 of those outages, the vast majority (344) in Lower Merion Township.

If you need to report an outage or get more information you can call PECO at 1-800-4141.

Across the region, flooding has been reported along roadways.

The Broad St/PA 611 southbound ramp to I-95 South was closed around 6 p.m. due to flooding, causing headaches for fans traveling to tonight's Phillies game.

The ramp reopened around 7:15 p.m.

This was the scene in Bensalem, Bucks County as the rain there came down hard.

Roads were also underwater for the second day in a row. Eyewitness News was in South Philadelphia where rising water came right onto the underpass.
