Hundreds Of Men Gather At St. Joe's For Spirituality Seminar

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- About 1300 men gathered at St. Joseph's University for the 6th annual "Man Up Philly"  spirituality conference on Saturday.

"We're just so excited that so many men came out and agreed to say yes to our lord," says conference chairman Eustace Mita, "because, as we know, we're moving in a fast world."

Mita says this year's theme was pornography.

"Because there's a desensitizing of it," he says, "and you need not look any further than our high schools and colleges where we're having increases in sexual harassment."

Mita says this event has grown tremendously over the past 6 years and says it's nice to be surrounded by other like-minded individuals.

"There are many things that men don't like to talk about with each other," he says. "Faith happens to be among that; how they feel about god, and we want men to know that there is someplace that they can go."
