Hundreds Of Kids Attend Philadelphia Frontiers Easter Egg Hunt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The 18th annual Philadelphia Frontiers Easter Egg Hunt took place at New Coventry Church in Mt. Airy on Saturday.
"Philadelphia Frontiers is a group of African-American men who are all about service." Said event co-chairman Darryl Boozier, "So they raise money during the year and they give all that money back that they raise."
Boozier says about 250 kids between the ages of 3 and 11 participated in the fun.
"Our purpose is for the disadvantaged families, disadvantaged homes." Said Boozier, "So we have shelters that came out and our resources are for kids in need."
And this year, Boozier said it wasn't just a party with lunch and candy: "We buy books. So we want the kids to start reading more. It's more about education, stuff like that, so we're trying to make this Easter Egg Hunt more than about a hunt and candy, we're trying to make it about health and education as well."
