Housekeeper Slashed With Box-cutter At Philadelphia Motel

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a woman working as a housekeeper was slashed with a box-cutter during a fight with another woman inside a north Philadelphia motel.

Police said 52-year-old victim and the other woman got into an argument shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday at the Liberty Motel.

Officials said the 52-year victim said the other woman pulled out a silver box-cutter and slashed her across the left side of her neck.

Police said the woman then chased the housekeeper around the motel lobby before running out the front door. Responding officers later arrested her on the street without incident.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Police haven't released the name of the 50-year-old suspect pending formal charges.
