Hot Air Balloon Crashes In Pennsylvania Field Injuring 3

NEW HOLLAND, Pa. (AP) — Police say a hot air balloon has crashed in a field in central Pennsylvania, injuring all three people on board.

New Holland Police Sgt. Mark Willwerth says the balloon went down shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday at a farm in Earl Township as the pilot was attempting to land. He says the top of the balloon got tangled in overhead electrical wires.

Willwerth says the injured were transported to a hospital. He did not know the severity of the injuries.

He says the Federal Aviation Administration has been contacted and will also investigate the crash.
