Homicide Probe Opened After Man Found Dead On Street

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police have opened a homicide investigation into the death of a man found dead on a southeastern Pennsylvania sidewalk.

Authorities in Montgomery County said the man's body was found shortly before midnight Friday on a street in Pottstown.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the victim appeared to have been shot at least once.

Police and the county coroner's office haven't yet released the name of the victim or other details.

No arrests were immediately announced and police haven't released any information about a possible motive in the case.
