4 People, Including Firefighter, Injured During Apartment Fire In City's Holmesburg Section, Officials Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Four people, including a Philadelphia firefighter, were injured after a two-alarm apartment fire in the city's Holmesburg section. This happened in the 8200 block of Frankford Avenue around 3:15 a.m. Monday.

The Philadelphia Fire Department said nearly 100 people responded to the scene, including firefighters, medics, and support personnel.

CBS3 was at the scene when emergency crews transported at least two people to the hospital. One of the victims is a 57-year-old man with second-degree burns. The department said medics treated and transported three civilians and one firefighter.

Crews got the fire under control around 4:05 a.m.

Around 30 people are displaced.

The cause is still under investigation.
