2 Firefighters Injured Battling Northeast Philly House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and nine people were displaced following a fire in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported at about 4:15 a.m. in the 4700 block of Vista Street in Holmesburg.

The fire was placed under control around 5 a.m.

Two of the responding firefighters were taken to Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital. One was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and another for heat exhaustion. They were both reported in stable condition.

Fire crews reported that everyone in the home was able to get themselves out safely.

Fire officials say nine people were displaced due to the fire. Three homes suffered minor exterior and water damage.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
