63-year-old woman killed after hit-and-run in Philadelphia's Juniata Park, police say

A 63-year-old woman died Friday evening following a hit-and-run in Philadelphia's Juniata Park neighborhood, police said.

Authroities said the incident happened just before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Whitaker and Wyoming avenues. The woman was crossing the street when a 2012 white Infiniti M37 struck her. The driver of the Infiniti stopped briefly to look at the woman before taking off down Whitaker Avenue, police said.

The Infiniti was later found in the city's Feltonville neighborhood unoccupied and will be seized as part of the investigation.

The woman was taken to Temple Hospital, where she was pronounced dead just after 9:30 p.m.
