High School Partially Evacuated After Cellphone Starts Smoking

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A school in West Philadelphia was partially evacuated after a cellphone started smoking.

A Philadelphia School District spokesperson told CBS3 the incident happened Wednesday morning at West Philadelphia High School at 4901 Chestnut Street.

The third floor was evacuated after the cellphone started smoking.

The Philadelphia Fire Department says it was quickly placed under control.

There were no injuries and no property damage reported.

Students have returned back to class.
