Hershey's Chocolate World Tour Gets Technological Facelift

HERSHEY, PA. (AP) — Hershey's Chocolate World tour ride has undergone a major technological facelift.

Hershey officials say the new tour features enhanced sets with new narration, a new theme song and 13 state-of-the-art animated figures, including updated versions of its signature cows. Chocolate World General Manager Steve Balliet says the redesigned attraction brings the tour to life.

The tour has been a part of Chocolate World since 1973 and takes guests through Hershey's milk chocolate production process.

Designers say they took care to preserve aspects of the tour that fans who've seen it dozens of times enjoy. Officials say the use of holographic effects allows guests tour riders to look inside and see how Hershey's machines work.
