Harry Kalas Not Forgotten By Fans 5 Years After His Death

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Sunday marks the 5th anniversary of the death of former Phillies announcer Harry Kalas.
A steady stream of fans visited the Harry Kalas statue on the concourse beyond the left field foul pole at Citizens Bank Park to take pictures of their favorite play-by-play guy.
They shared some of those memories with KYW Newsradio:
"He was the voice of the Phillies. There's no other word to describe that. He was the guy that when that ball went over the fence, you knew you'd hear his voice first."
"His voice was special. The guys now aren't the same and we'll love him forever."
"He was something else and all the fans love him. I never heard anybody say a bad word about him. All my life, I grew up listening to Richie Ashburn and Harry Kalas and sadly they're both gone."
Some people said they couldn't believe it's been five years already.
