2 men charged in connection with shooting in North Philly: DA
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two men were charged in connection with the shooting of a 22-year-old man, District Attorney Larry Krasner said. The shooting left the man in critical condition Saturday afternoon after he was shot in North Philadelphia, police say.
It happened on the 2500 block of West Harold Street around 3:30 p.m.
Police say the man was shot in the back and transported to Temple University Hospital. He was placed in critical condition.
The DA's office said 23-year-old Arnold Carter of Philadelphia and 23-year-old Mustafa Harris of Delaware County reported to the local police department shortly after the incident to be interviewed. They were charged with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
The office adds, "both have valid firearms licenses and turned their lawfully registered firearms over to police."
Officials also say the two do not have any criminal histories.
The investigation is still ongoing.
