Handel Rheinberger And Brossé

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia presents the works of Handel Rheinberger and Brossé for one performance only on Sunday, January 19th at the Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall.

Peter Gistelinck, the Executive Director of the Chamber Orchestra, says the organ plays the main role in this concert.
"Well, the concertgoers can really expect a very intimate concert, [with a] chamber orchestra setting featuring the Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ. It's a unique opportunity to discover the organ," Gistelinck says.
In collaboration with the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, the concert also showcases some local talent.
"It's going to be very unique, with very original programming, and I'm very happy we are featuring three organists from our area and our very own concert master on violin," Gistelinck adds.
