Haagen-Dazs Recalls Ice Cream Due To Allergen Risk

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Haagen-Dazs is recalling some of its ice cream due to a labeling issue.

According to the company's website, the recalled 14-ounce cartons are labeled as Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Chocolate Chip with a UPC of 74570-08400 and the lid is labeled as Chocolate Peanut Butter with a Best By date of May 13, 2015.

Haagen-Dazs says the ice cream could pose an allergen risk for those with peanut or nut allergies.

The ice cream was distributed in District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
