Gunfire Claims 2 Lives, Injures Others In Philly Around Christmas

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say gunfire claimed the lives of two men and sent others to the hospital around Christmas in Philadelphia.

Officers were called to a home in Kensington in northeastern Philadelphia just before 10:30 p.m. on Christmas night and found a 43-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he died.

Police say several men kicked out of a bar in the Nicetown-Tioga section of north Philadelphia returned and opened fire shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, wounding two men, one critically.

Gunfire outside a Feltonville social club in northeast Philadelphia shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday injured two men and two women.

A man was found shot to death in a ransacked home south of the city center at about 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
