PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On today's APP-tastic and outta SITE - Guitar Tuner.

You've been able to record your guitar playing on an iPhone for a while now, but no one thought of a way to actually tune the instrument. Guitar Tuner, as you might guess, fills that void, playing each note so you can ensure you're getting the most from your Gibson.

The app's free, but (again… as you might guess) you'll need to make sure you don't accidentally have your phone muted – and you'll still have to have an ear for tone.
