GSK Wants To Give Away $5 Million To Non-Profits Working For A Healthier Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- GSK, formerly Glaxo SmithKline, and the Philadelphia Foundation have announced a $5 million grant package available to non-profits which will lead to healthier lives.
It's called the GSK IMPACT Grant. IMPACT stands for Innovative, Measured, Partnered, Accountable, Community Centered and Transformative. Katie Loovis is GSK's director of Community Relations.
"Instead of funding one non-profit, together with the Philadelphia Foundation, we're going to fund a collective of non-profits that are working together to foster a healthier Philadelphia," Loovis said.
The Philadelphia Foundation is a public charity community foundation which manages more than 800 charitable funds. The Foundation will be holding a meeting on June 24th to ensure that all non-profits understand the eligibility rules.
