Modern Male Barbershop Hosts Annual Grow-A-Pair Cut-A-Thon Event To Raise Prostate Cancer Awareness

LANSDALE, Pa. (CBS) -- Supporting men's health by getting a new do. Eyewitness News was at Modern Male Barbershop's annual Grow-A-Pair Cut-A-Thon on Sunday.

The barbershop in Lansdale uses the event to raise awareness for prostate cancer and raise money for a local hospital.

The funds help patients and their families.

Nick Prosseda, the owner of this barbershop, lost his father to cancer.

"My mother raising three children on her own, she needed help. So just going back full circle, and have the ability to help other people who are going through that unfortunate circumstance," Prosseda said.

All proceeds are donated to Abington-Jefferson Health.

The cut-a-thon has raised more than $50,000 since it started in 2011.
