Flyers mascot Gritty celebrating 4th birthday Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Gritty is celebrating its fourth birthday on Saturday. The mascot posted a picture on Twitter -- teasing a big party tonight, possibly during the Flyers preseason opener against the Bruins.

Gritty was unveiled on this date back in 2018, and despite some initial criticism, has become a fan favorite and social media sensation.
