Granite Run Mall To Host Back To School Supply Drive

MEDIA, Pa. (CBS) -- A back to school supply drive is being held today from at the Granite Run Mall in Media, Delaware County from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. and all of the classroom items are all going to a good cause.
The United Way of Greater Philadelphia is hosting the drive.
They are asking people to stop by the mall and bring in items like backpacks, notebooks, calculators and scissors.
"We can give them out to students who suffer unfortunately in economic need and we can provide that for them."
Greater Philadelphia United way executive director Doreen Storey says it's always amazing to see the students' reactions when they get their new supplies
"To just see the smiles on their faces and they are so happy and very grateful and appreciative when they receive their backpacks."
