Rafferty is the granddaughter of "Wild Bill" Guarnere, an army veteran portrayed in the HBO series, "Band of Brothers." She is helping to organize a memorial for Guarnere at the Kimmel Center on Tuesday April 29th at 7:30 p.m.

Rafferty said the night will not be a typical memorial service, but rather a gala to honor an American hero.

"Rather than mourning his loss, we're going to be celebrating his life. We invited speakers to come talk about him. We have the Quaker City String Band coming, along with a couple singers, to sing his favorite songs," she said.

Tickets for the event are free and available at www.kimmelcenter.com.
