Grabbing The Running Shoes And Raising Money For A Healthy Heart

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A South Jersey daughter is hitting the road to turn a personal tragedy into triumph for her entire family.

The past will be one that 25-year-old Tina Weber will never forget. It's the year she got engaged and started her career as a physical therapist. It's also the year, she got the phone call, that changed her life.

"It was the worst days of our lives," she recalled.

Tina's father, Matt Weber, a retired Cherry Hill Firefighter, died of a heart attack, he was 53. But his big laugh and even bigger heart-- inspired Tina to take up running.

"I started slow...running one to two miles."

She used that time to talk to her dad, in March she launched 'Miles for Matt' raising 1600 dollars for the American Heart Association, aimed to raise awareness.

On Saturday, she'll take on her biggest challenge since losing her dad-- a half marathon, but says she won't be alone

"My dad will be there every step of the way."
