Governor Wolf Signs Ride-Sharing Bill Allowing Uber, Lyft To Operate In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pennsylvania legislators took another step toward legalizing ride-sharing services across the state.

Governor Tom Wolf signed a bill allowing Uber, Lyft and other ride-sharing companies to operate in Philadelphia through September 30.

This legislation reinforces the deal made last week between Uber and the PPA, allowing Uber to operate in the city through the Democratic National Convention.

Lawmakers are expected to vote on whether to permanently legalize ride-sharing across the state this fall.
