Governor Christie Vents Frustration Over Bridgegate Probe

By David Madden

TRENTON, NJ (CBS) -- The probe by New Jersey legislators into last year's shutdown of lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge has gone on for more than nine months and it appears Governor Chris Christie is losing patience with Democrats in charge of that probe.

Christie has always considered the legislature's Bridgegate probe a partisan affair, but insists he's given the committee virtually unfettered access to his administration.

"I certainly am beginning to have concerns about the level of openness that I've shown to the committee because, when you show that level of openness, all they do is turn around and leak it to all of you."

Assemblyman John Wisniewski, co-chair of that committee, denies Christie's accusation that he and other Democrats are leaking information to the press to garner attention of newspapers and cable TV.

"There's nobody more frustrated than I am about materials getting out because it hampers our ability to ask follow up questions."

He says Christie's people are holding back on forking over documents, a charge Christie denies.
