GIANT Food Store Recalls Its Granola Bars

CARLISLE, PA. (CBS) -- GIANT Food stores and MARTIN'S Food Markets are removing their "Sweet and Salty Almond Chewy Granola Bars" from store shelves because of a potential Listeria contamination.

The recalled GIANT-brand bars, made by TreeHouse Foods come in a 12-pack box and have a best by date of December 7, 2016 with lot code 2151607200.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Listeriosis can cause high fever, nausea and other gastrointestinal symptoms.

So far there have been no reported illnesses.

GIANT advises customers who purchased the product to throw it away and bring their receipt to GIANT or MARTIN'S for a full refund.
