Gas Prices Creep To Highest 4th Of July Week Cost In 6 Years

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - With the 4th of July holiday weekend approaching, and millions of Americans planning to hit the road, gas prices continue to creep up.
"Nationally, we're about $3.70," GasBuddy.com chief oil analyst Tom Kloza tells KYW Newsradio. "It's only up a few cents from where we were when Iraq sort of blew up in front of us. But we are looking at the most expensive July 4th week since 2008."
Still, Kloza says, he doesn't expect the few extra cents it's costing to fill up to deflate travel plans:
"We've probably spent a few months above this level in 2011, 2012, and 2013. And I do not expect that we're gonna see prices that are going to move high enough to sort of cut down on summer driving."
