Free Walking Tours Stroll Through Philadelphia This Weekend

By John McDevitt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Free walking tours of Philadelphia will take place Saturday in four areas of the city.

The River to River, Vine to Pine, rain or shine walking tour is being done for the 5th year.

"The idea is to show off the city, promote tourism and promote what tour guides do in the city," explains Bob Skiba.

Skiba is the president of the Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides. He says there will be four phases -- done that way so participants can go on all twelve hours of the free tours if they want to:

"The first phase is Old City, the second one is Society Hill, the third one is Midtown and the last one is on the Parkway and the Art Museum area."

Registration is recommended, but not required.
