Four Shot, Two Dead After Argument At Unlicensed Bar

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- A bar argument overnight turned into a deadly shooting involving four people.

Just after midnight in North Philadelphia, four men were found shot in the 5600 block of North Park Avenue. When police and medics arrived at an unlicensed bar located inside a former day care center, two men, 26 and 39-years-old, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other men were taken to the hospital and treated for gunshot wounds to the arm and thigh. Both are listed in critical but stable condition.

"They said there were a lot of motorcycle people in the area, and it looked like there was some kind of argument," said Philadelphia Police Captain Michael Gormley. "I don't know if it was between two different groups or not, or if they were all in the same group."

Several cars in the area were struck by stray bullets, and a .45 caliber gun was recovered from the scene.

"The whole street looked like a shooting gallery," Gormley said.

No arrests have been made yet.
