Former Philadelphia Police Officer Facing Statutory Rape Charges, District Attorney Says

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A former Philadelphia police officer is in custody, facing statutory rape charges. District Attorney Larry Krasner says Sean Renaldo Stewart allegedly started a sexual relationship with a child when she was just 13 years old and he was 23.

That relationship lasted for three years, authorities say.

Stewart was a police officer from 1993 through 2011.
