Former NFL Players Spread Holiday Cheer To Seniors

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The holiday season is all about togetherness and family. For some senior citizens, this time  of year can be especially tough if they are alone. Answers For Elders and Always Best Care Senior Services are joining forces with NFL alumni to bring some cheer to seniors in need.

The NFL Alumni Association and its Pro Football Legends Organization have joined with the two senior care resources for "The 12 Days of Goodness," an initiative asking fans to share an act of goodness with a senior during those 12 days.

The former NFL players are spreading holiday cheer by visiting seniors in NFL cities throughout the country, including Philadelphia and the surrounding area.

Visits and kind acts began on December 12 and will continue until December 23.
