Officials: Forest Fire 90 Percent Contained In New Jersey

MAURICE RIVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Officials say a forest fire in southern New Jersey that's affected about 75 acres is 90 percent contained.

The state Forest Fire Service says it expects to have the Cumberland County fire fully contained Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in Maurice River Township and has destroyed four mobile homes. Firefighters say they believe the fire started in a private structure.

No injuries have been reported.
