Fog Will Give Way To Wet Weather Tuesday

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The sun came back! But not for long ... fog enveloped quite a few spots this morning and clouds are again thickening across the Delaware Valley.

Although the first half of Tuesday will be dry, expect some wet weather during the afternoon and evening hours. This is part of the same storm system that wreaked havoc on California last week. Fortunately, it has lost a significant amount of steam, and only minor impacts are expected later today. Showers will move in after noon, and will become steady through the evening commute, eventually tapering to just showers before moving out.

On a positive note, temperatures will be on the mild side. Highs are expected to run about five degrees above average, topping out near 50 degrees. They'll be right back on Wednesday as well, as the cold air behind this system won't catch up with to region until Wednesday night into Thursday. It stays chilly, but dry for the remainder of the week, and we will continue to monitor a potential storm for the second half of the weekend.
