Flying Bat Distracts Pirates, Allows Andrew Knapp To Score From First

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- You won't see this everyday.

In the bottom of the third inning during last night's Pirates-Phillies game, a throwing error allowed Andrew Knapp to score from first base.

The throwing error, however, was caused by Andres Blanco's flying bat -- which ended up in the stands.

 

"You gotta be kidding me," Scott Franzke said on 94.1 WIP.

"What?!" Larry Anderson replied. "What just happened?"

The Phillies lost the game 6-3.
