Flyers Wrap Up Road Trip Tonight In Pittsburgh

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Flyers will wrap up their three game road trip tonight as they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Philadelphia has gone 1-1 so far on the trip. A 6-5, overtime win in Dallas on Saturday was followed up by a 4-0 loss last night in Chicago to the Black Hawks.

Overall this season, the Flyers are 1-3-2 and they have allowed 25 goals in six games, which is the second highest total in the NHL. Only Edmonton has allowed more with 27.

Pittsburgh is 3-1-0 and they are averaging 4 goals a game this season. While the Pens have been one of the top teams in the East for years, the Flyers have dominated them on their home ice. In the last two seasons, the Orange and Black have gone 4-0-2 in Pittsburgh, including winning all three match-ups last season.

Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek and Wayne Simmonds all tied for the team lead for the Flyers with 7 points. Simmonds has five goals, which is tops on the club. Sidney Crosby leads Pittsburgh with 9 points (4 goals).
