Flyers Wives Surprise Child Battling Cancer, Help Renovate Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A child battling cancer received a sizable surprise from an unlikely group of women Sunday.

Nine-year-old Bisan Abu Ali has an optic pathway glioma she's been battling since she was six months old.

"She's stable now, but the tumor is still there," says Sana – the little girl's mother. "We try our best or do whatever we can to make her stronger and stronger every time."

Flyers Wives partnered with Building Hope for Kids to give Bisan and her family a home renovation.

"Everyone was assigned to a room," explains Bonnie Dillabaugh -- one of the wives who helped with the transformation. "I was kind of lucky enough to help out with two rooms."

She says they worked with the family to decide the details:

" We spent a lot of time shopping, picking out colors, picking out furniture."

And Bisan's favorite room?

" My room!" she said.

Sana says she's so grateful:

" It give us hope, to keep fighting, and to stay strong-- all the time."
