Flyers Welcome Sabres To Center Tonight

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers will be back on home ice tonight as they host the Buffalo Sabres.

Philadelphia is 2-3-1 on the young season after last night's 3-1 loss in Montreal. That game was tied 1-1 after two periods, but the Canadiens scored twice in the third to grab the win. Jakub Voracek had the lone goal in defeat for the Flyers.

Buffalo will come to town with a 1-2-1 record. The Sabres will wrap-up a four-game road trip tonight, but they haven't played since they lost in Vancouver back on Thursday night.

Voracek's goal last night was his eighth point of the season and that leads the Flyers. Claude Giroux is second on the team with seven points, all assists.

Center Ryan O'Reilly and defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen pace the Sabres in scoring with five points each.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer about tonight's match-up.
