Flyers Try To Even Up Series With Rangers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers will try to even up their first-round playoff series tonight as they host the Rangers at the Wells Fargo Center.

Philadelphia is coming off a 4-1 loss in Game #3 in South Philadelphia. For a second straight game, the Flyers fell behind 2-0. But unlike in their 4-2 Game #2 win, they were not able to rally. Philadelphia went 0 for 5 on the power play in Game #3 and also had 28 of their shots blocked by Rangers.

Steve Mason will get the start in net. It will be his first start in this series, as he is coming off an "upper-body" injury. He did play the final seven-plus minutes of Game #3 after relieving Ray Emery. This will actually be Mason's first post-season start since April of 2009 when he was a rookie with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

After Friday night, the series shifts to New York for Game #5 on Sunday afternoon. If necessary, Game #6 would be back at the Center on Tuesday night, with Game #7 the following night in New York.
