Flyers Sign D Radko Gudas

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenseman Radko Gudas to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced.

The deal is a four-year extension worth about $3 to $3.5 million per year, according to TSN's Bob McKenzkie.

Gudas, 26, was acquired by the Flyers during the 2015 trade deadline. Gudas had five goals, nine assists, and 116 penalty minutes in 76 games last season. His physical play has helped him become a fan favorite in Philly.

"Next year is going to be my fifth year [in the NHL], so they're going to want to see some leadership from the players, as well," Gudas said via CSNPhilly.com. "I have to be better and I'm trying to get better as a person to help the team."
