Flyers Recall Goaltender Rob Zepp, Steve Mason To Miss Two Weeks

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Saturday afternoon, the Flyers lost to the Bruins and also lost their goaltender in the process. Steve Mason left the game with a lower body injury in the first period.

Today, the Flyers announced that they were recalling goaltender Rob Zepp from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

This marks Zepps second recall of the season after being called up on December 19th. Zepp went back down to the Phantoms on December 29th and has gone 3-0-0 with a  1.90 goals against average and a save percentage of .942.

On December 21st, Zepp made his NHL debut and recorded a win over Winnipeg. The victory made Zepp (33) the oldest goaltender to win their NHL debut in the last 88 years.

UPDATE (3:33pm): Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced that Steve Mason is expected to miss two weeks.
