Flyers Play Final Game Before All-Star Break Tonight Vs. Pens

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Flyers will play their final game before the NHL All-Star Break tonight as they welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to town.

This will be the second of four meetings between these two cross-state rivals this season. The Flyers won the first in Pittsburgh back on October 22nd, 5-3. Sean Couturier had a goal and two assists in that victory, which was the fifth-straight win for the Flyers over the Penguins.

Yesterday afternoon the Flyers lost up in New York to the Islanders, 7-4. That was the third loss in four games for the Flyers who have 43 points coming into this game.  That point total has them tied for fifth in the Metropolitan Division. The Penguins are second in the division with 58 points.

Ray Emery will get the start tonight in net for the Flyers. He also started that first win this season against the Penguins, making 22 saves.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sarah Baicker of CSNPhilly.com to talk about this match-up and the Flyers up and down season to this point.
