Emery re-joined the Flyers on Tuesday on a professional tryout for goal-tending depth after goalie Michal Neuvirth suffered a meniscus tear. On Friday, the Flyers announced they have signed Emery to a contract for the remainder of the season.
Emery, 33, spent the 2009-10 season with the Flyers and then re-joined the team as Steve Mason's backup from 2013-2015.
