Vinny Lecavalier To Makes Season Debut, As Flyers Host Devils

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers will be on home ice again tonight as they welcome the New Jersey Devils to the Center.

Philadelphia is off to a 4-2-2 start this season, but the Flyers are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to Buffalo on Tuesday night in South Philadelphia.

The Devils come to town with a record of 4-4-1. They also last played on Tuesday night when they lost at home to Columbus, 3-1.

The Flyers are 3-1-1 at home this season while the Devils are 3-1-0 on the road.

This will be the first of four meeting between these two Metropolitan Division rivals this season. Last season, New Jersey took the season series between these two teams by winning three of four.

It is expected that veteran forward Vinny Lecavalier will make his season debut tonight for the Flyers after being scratched for the season's first eight games. It is expected he will take the injured Pierre-Edouard Bellemare's place on a line with Chris VandeVelde and Ryan White.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sarah Baicker, co-host of The Comcast Network's "Breakfast On Broad", about the Flyers.
