Flooding, High Winds Cause Major Damage Down The Shore

OCEAN CITY, N.J. (CBS) - There's been major flooding along New Jersey coast towns following the weekend storm, causing some serious damage.

While crews try to repair power lines, winds and high waters are hampering the effort.

Atlantic County's Office of Emergency management has been helping each shore town through the storm.

"Unfortunately, we did have water that did flood some residences in Atlantic City, Ventnor, West Atlantic City section, Egg Harbor Township," says Director Vincent Jones

Jones says some towns are close to Sandy levels of flooding:

"This storm pretty much did rival, as far as the flooding, especially in Cape May and other areas. If not as high as Sandy, close to it."

Jones say they will help in the aftermath

" And that's why we are going to see the extent of that water damage and how far the water got into some residences and whether or not these residences are habitual."
