Five Years To The Day, DA Office Makes Arrest In Montco Teen Murder

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On the fifth anniversary of what had been an unsolved murder in Norristown, the Montgomery County D-A's office announces an arrest.

17-year-old D'Ravious Dawkins, known as Ray, was shot and killed on March 18th, 2011 at Noble and West Oak Streets.

Five years later, 23-year-old Omar Massenburg is now charged with his murder.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators pieced together information from cooperating witnesses, eye witnesses and cell phone records that they say show Massenburg's movements in the area of the shooting that night.

Massenburg is already in custody, awaiting a formal arraignment on murder charges of another person. He also spent two years in prison for shooting at another man the same night of Dawkins' murder.
