First Rain…Then Really Warm

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The road to summer-like warmth begins Wednesday.  Clouds will increase from the southwest, as a warmer air mass approaches.

Highs Wednesday will be in the upper 60s to near 70.  A warm front, moving northward, will bring showers Wednesday night and into Thursday morning's commute.

Thursday afternoon will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 70.  After the warm front passes Friday, high temperatures will be close to 80 degrees.

The warm air will stay in place for Mother's Day weekend.  However, a weak cold front will bring a chance of a few scattered showers or a thunderstorm on Saturday with highs again near 80.

There is only a slight chance of a shower Mother's Day with highs once again well above average, in the upper 70s to near 80.

Enjoy!
